Regular readers of The Smart Income Detective Blog will know that my eBay eBook is my biggest earner when it comes to being an internet marketer. The eBook was first released in December 2011, and has seen a fantastic response from a community forum that I am heavily involved with.
Over the past two years, I have worked hard to ensure all the information in the eBook is up to date and relevant. It has seen one major update with lots of smaller updates (a paragraph changed here and there, a graphic changed etc.).
But one thing that hasn’t changed much is the sales page for the eBook.
You may have read that my very first sales page was a HTML sales page created by a designer in Jakarta for the sum of $120. Take a look at the original template for the sales page and the eBook below:
While I was super delighted with the designs at the time, the one thing I grew to hate was the fact that the sales page was a HTML page, meaning whenever I wanted to change the words or graphics on the page, I had to go into the HTML editor and work out how to change it. Not a problem for some, granted, but a big problem for me because I only know the very basics of HTML.
So about 6 months later, I went and found an alternative. That alternative was OptimizePress. Optimizepress was a theme for WordPress that allowed anyone to create a sales page without the need to know any HTML or CSS, which of course was perfect for me.
You can see how my old sales page looked with this quick 1 minute video below:
I am sure you will agree that it looks tired and slightly outdated. So I decided to do something about it. In came the new eBook cover design below, as well as a completley new sales page.
And what better time to update my sales page than after the recent launch of OptimizePress 2.0. OptimizePress 2.0 has literally ripped up the playing field for marketers, and laid down a brand new one – and in the process, making it even easier to build and create such pages without any technical know how or expertise.
See how my new sales page stacks up against the old one with another quick video below:
I am absolutely super, super delighted with how the page looks right at the minute. I still need to have a look at the very top where the video is, but apart from that I am hooked on the design and how clean the sales page really is.
Of course, the big test will be how it affects my conversion rates.
For anyone looking to create their own sales pages (recommended) you can check out my full video review of the software I used to create this new sales page on this blog post I published not long ago.
I will also be doing a Feature Post on sales pages very soon – it will be my take on what constitutes a good sales page, and what should be included on a sales page to maximise conversions.
That’s about it for this quick post. I just thought I would share with you what I have been doing lately, as I know I haven’t posted on the blog much recently. Don’t forget to join me on Twitter and facebook if you can, you can do that by clicking the links at the very top right of the page. Until my next post then…
All the best,
