OptimizePress 2.0 Review Full Video Review (UPDATED 2015)

Hello and welcome to my extensive OptimizePress 2.0 Review. Below you will find my impartial review that is mainly done by video. I decided to put together this huge review of OptimizePress 2.0 because I know that many people are sitting on the fence with this software, and it is hard to find a genuine review of OptimizePress.

For those of you who don’t know, OptimizePress 2.0 is an all singing, all dancing, marketer’s dream. It is a WordPress Theme and Plugin that allows you to design and create great looking lead capture pages (squeeze pages), sales pages (for your products), membership sites and even blogs.

Cant wait for the Optimizepress 2.0 review? See what this can do for you and how it will transform your marketing by clicking here.

To celebrate the release, I thought I would do something a little bit special. For the first time ever, I am going to record a VideoCast of the whole process – from my purchase of this awesome software, to the installation, to the first play around with it, to then actually rebuilding my eBook sales page. I want to show you guys exactly what bang you are going to get for your buck, prior to you purchasing it.

The Optimizepress 2.0 Review Videos will be split up into several videos for your convenience, all of which you can find below.

optimizepress 2.0 reviewIt’s no secret that I am a big huge RAVING fan of OptimizePress, I have used version 1.0 for the last 18 months for at least 12 projects. I have used it to build my sales page for my eBook (earnings $10k+), built my membership video course site (earnings $20k+) and built numerous niche squeeze pages – which has helped me make a ton of money and building my list

Already, I am using OptimizePress 2.0 as a plugin on this very blog (see my free eBook subscriber page I built in minutes right here), as well as using it as a full theme for my eBook course, right here.

OptimizePress 1.0 was hugely beneficial for me as a marketer – no longer did I have to mess about with HTML and get designers on the job when I wanted stuff like the above built – I could do it all myself. In fact, all I needed to do was outsource the header graphics and the eBook graphics for minimal cost, and wham, bam, I had created my site for just a few bucks.

Now, I want to be honest with you – this software plugin is expensive (it starts at $97 for a 3 site licence). But make absolutely NO mistake about it – it is quality software allowing you to do the most incredible things in your marketing career. My first eBook minisite cost me well over $120 for a designer to code it in HTML, if I times that figure by 12 (the amount of times I have used OP 1.0), then I have clawed the cost back in savings alone.

In this full review of Optimizepress 2.0, I want to go over a few of OP 2.0’s most OUTSTANDING features, but if you prefer, just scroll down past this section, and go straight to your videos.

Optimizepress Bonus Offer

Before I get into the review, I want to offer you a bonus. Anybody purchasing through my link will receive my Monster Marketing Graphics pack that I sell on this blog for $17 – which you can see here.

This pack goes hand in hand with Optimizepress because you can use the graphics to really enhance the pages you are building with fancy headline graphics and all the rest. Again, buy through my link, and you get this FREE. When you have purchased through my link, drop me an email using the contact page here, and I’ll send it right on over to you.

OptimizePress 2.0 Review – Main Benefits

1 Real time editing – WYSIWYG – add elements, add text, add graphics, and see how your sales/squeeze/membership page looks like in real time.

Edit ANY TIME you want – no need to get a coder in to make alterations – make them when YOU need to them.

3 Pre Loaded templates – just add your copy, your graphics, and have your page up in a MATTER OF MINUTES.

4 No need to change your existing WordPress theme – the plugin capability means you can build pages within your current theme (GAMECHANGER!).

5 Custom button generator – create your own buy button colours in line with your branding.

6 Easy to use – this is DRAG & DROP at its very best – no learning curve, what you see is what you get.

7 Use it over and over, on all of your WordPress sites.

If you can’t wait, go over now and secure your copy of OptimizePress 2.0 now*!

Here is my full, frank, and largely unedited video review and demo of OP 2.0. Please note the videos below are not perfect, I don’t know my way around the OP software (yet), but they provide a good indication of how easy it is to get to grips with. I hope you find them useful. So without further ado, here is my full Optimizepress 2.0 review:

Purchase Of OptimizePress 2.0

This video shows me purchasing OptimizePress 2.0, and shows the upsells offered:

Notes: The purchase and sales funnel was very simple and fast. As soon as I had input my card details (Paypal is NOT accepted) and clicked the purchase button, I had received an email with my login details. Very, very smooth.

Overall Experience: 10/10

Download & Installing OptimizePress 2.0

After download and installation on the the Smart Income Detective Blog, I have a quick play around going over the main options and features:

Notes: Login to the OP hub was painless, and the site loaded nice and fast. The welcome page is easy to understand, and lays everything out in a neat package, including your download links, API keys and help videos. The actual downloads came in .zip format, and took just a couple of minutes.

The installation was a different story. My first 2 attempts at installing the plugin through my admin dashboard failed, just as they reached ‘99% installed’ status. Because I am a man, I didn’t read the setup instructions (what man does?). But I really should have done, because it does explain that due to upload limits placed on your sites by your host, you may need to use FTP to upload the plugin and theme.

Overall Experience: 9/10

OptimizePress Members Dashboard Area

This quick video shows you the dashboard area where you can download OP 2.0, watch the training videos and access your Clubhouse membership (if you bought the upsell, which I did). Have a look at what you get when you login to OP 2.0 right here:

Notes: As in the video, a little disappointed that there was only one additional template – but I am confident this will change very soon (Remember, this Optimizepress 2.0 Review has been done just a few days after release). This is a good members area, where you will find everything you need to get started.

Overall Experience: 7/10

Live Editor Demo & Templates

See exactly what templates are included in OP 2.0:

Notes: These templates are ready to go out of the box. They look highly optimised for maximum conversion rates. These templates can also be edited by adding in extra elements (see next video).

First Impressions: 8/10

See The Full Features Here >>>

A Look At Elements (Graphics, Arrows, Guarantee Boxes etc.)

In this Optimizepress 2.0 review video, I take a breather and simply scroll through all the elements included in OP 2.0. An element, is what makes up your sales page, like ticks, testimonial boxes, buy buttons etc. They are all fully editable, and appear on your page with a click of a button.

Notes: Absolutely SUPERB selection of ‘elements’ that you simply select from the menu, and they appear on your page. Every possible angle has been covered, and I am highly impressed by not only the amount available, but the quality as well.

First Impressions: 10/10

See The Full Features Here >>>

Creating A Squeeze Page Using OptimizePress 2.0

In this video, I create a simple squeeze page and show you exactly how easy it is using the pre formatted templates and the live editor.

Notes: I know I keep saying this. But it is so easy. So easy a child could do it. Impressive selection of templates that you can easily edit and publish within minutes.

First Impressions: 10/10

See The Full Features Here >>>

Creating A Membership Site Using OptimizePress 2.0

In this video, I create a homepage for new members, and then two lesson/content pages.

Notes: This was the first time I had to refer to the training video on my OP members dashboard, as there are a couple of things that need to be done correctly to make your membership site work. It took me about 40 minutes to master it altogether, and once you know how to do it, it becomes a breeze.

First Impressions: 9/10

See The Full Features Here >>>

Inside The ClubHouse: OptimizePress 2.0

In this video, which was created on September 10th 2013, I show you inside the Clubhouse to see what has changed and what is included.

Notes: In a nutshell: 6 additional templates, extra snippets for the blog templates, 4 textured backgrounds, 2 training videos and a partridge in a pear tree. Ok, maybe there was no partidge, but overall I am happy with the templates so far.

First Impressions: 7/10

NEW! Sneaky LeadPages Feature

In this video, I showcase the brilliant new feature the team has added recently – the Overlayer Optimizer!

Notes: This is an AWESOME feature – make no mistake about it. Forget LeadPages and their high monthly fees, this does the job just as well and with more options. An amazing addition to this software.

First Impressions: 10/10

Pros And Cons Of OptimizePress 2

Pros

+ Make no mistake about it – OptimizePress 2.0 is a complete rebuild of the original OP.
+ The Live Editor is simply great, you can see exactly what you are doing and how your page will look.
+ Literally thousands and thousands of customisation options.
+ Pre Made templates mean you can have a sales, squeeze or membership page up in minutes.
+ The results are astounding. From my initial tests, I have been able to create awesome sales pages that would cost $$$’s if a designer created them.

Cons

As an existing customer of OP 1.0, I was promised a discount. This discount was not forthcoming, and I had to email support with proof to get the link. This meant I didn’t get OP 2.0 on release, which I was very dissappointed about. I accept that this was a huge release, and a complex one, but here is my point: When a business promises something to the people that gave them the original success, they should 100% deliver on it.
The ClubHouse under delivers right at this particular moment in time. There is just the one additional template for immediate use, with the promise of more to come. For the money, I would expect an additional 4-5 templates added before my recurring payment goes out again.

Updates

The last update was an update to version 2.4.0 – in May 2015. OP 2.0 is regularly updated and has a thriving community – this will be supported for a long, long time to come.

It is good to see that James Dyson and the team are committed to OptimizePress 2.0, developers should take heed. Though, I expect nothing less from him.

I have also submitted a huge Optimizepress 2.0 Review to The Warrior Forum.

OptimizePress 2.0 Review – Final Thoughts

When I first saw the promotional videos for OP 2.0, my initial thoughts were: ‘No Freakin’ Way! This Looks AWESOME!’

After having spent some time with it, I have come to the following conclusion: ‘No Freakin’ Way! This IS Awesome!’

EDIT: And now, after spending 18 months with it, I use it on ALL of my sites. I even use it on this blog – as a squeeze page, as a sales page and even a training page. It gives me that added flexibility to do what I want when my main blog theme reaches its limitations.

I absolutely love the ease of use and how easy it is to get to grips with, and I just know I am going to push on and build more and more smart income streams for my business. The built in templates are going to make it an absolute breeze for me to design quick but high converting pages, and the real time editor is a huge improvement over OP 1.0. I really cannot think how James Dyson can improve on this, all you need to do is drag and drop a few elements around, add your graphics and sales text, and you have stunning looking pages.

It is a big thumbs up from me 🙂

I really hope you found this OptimizePress 2.0 Review and videos helpful.

If you do, I am also throwing in a bonus!

It just so happens that this package is the perfect OptimizePress companion! (And YES, the page linked above was created using OptimizePress!!)

NOTE: Please remember to clear your cookies on your web browser. Once you have done this, use my link right here (or any link on this page) to go across to the OptimizePress website and purchase. Hi Richard,

Best OP review I’ve seen yet. While I’ve had a few issues with OP (hence them now being on v2.0.3 already!) I think it’s very nearly there to being a really good product.

While I appreciate this isn’t an advice line, I don’t suppose you have some pointers on getting a paypal button to work. I have set up a squeeze page for an eBook…have my nice buy now buttons, but actually have no idea how to make it work. The only option on the button is ‘link’. Do I need another plugin?

Btw where in the UK are you?

Thanks

    Hi Doug.

Thanks for stopping by and commenting!

Yes I have just updated to 2.0.3, so it does show they are working to sort out a few bugs (which, incidentally, I haven’t actually seen yet despite spending the last 4 days on it literally non stop!)

If you are selling an eBook, I would point you in the direction of this post I wrote a few months back:

    http://www.smartincomedetective.com/spotlight/how-to-deliver-digital-products/

Because Doug, I can guarantee, in a few months, you will have another eBook, and another, and another…

But if not, the answer is indeed your ‘link’ option. You need to set it up within your Paypal account, which will basically entail you getting a link from Paypal and adding that in the field on OP. You will also need to set up a redirect, so when the customer has paid, they are redirected to the page where they can download their product.

    This resource will help you:

    https://www.paypal.com/uk/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=_singleitem-intro-outside

Simply follow the directions, and you will end up with a link – just remember, you NEED a seperate download page,

But I do heavily recommend DPD – just read my write up on them – you can get a 30 day free trial here: http://www.smartincomedetective.com/dpd

If you need anymore help Doug, just ask and I will do my best.

    PS – I’m in Lancashire
PPS – LOVE the name of your site!

      Hi Richard,

Thanks for the link to your digital book delivery article, I’m just digesting it now. DPD could be exactly what I’m looking for.

Ha, you’re a good 5 hours from me (I’m in (occasionally) sunny Dorset!).

Keep me posted with your OP2 exploits. I might jump back in when the dust has settled.

      All the best,

Hello Richard,
Happy New Year !
Without wishing to trouble you unnecessarily with my ignorance but would it be possible to use MAGIC Members wih OPTIMIZE PRESS 2.0 so as to get the best of two worlds ie best membership portal combined with the best theme ?

Kind Regards,

Alex.

PS : is there a link to purchase via your site ?

Hello Alex – Happy New Year!

Alex, I must admit – I have never heard of Magic Members before. I cannot answer your question specifically, and it’s probably best to direct your question at the OP team.

Obviously, as I haven’t used it, I have no link for it. But I will be sure to check it out sometime this year. Sorry I cannot be of more help to you with this.

    All the best!

Many thanks for this Richard, I actually purchased through your link last month based on your review videos (which are, btw, the best review of optimize press I have seen anywhere).

With that in mind then, I am wondering if I am eligible for the free graphics pack (as I noticed this post was updated with the overlayer addition as well as the graphics bonus recently) – as you said this would be excellent to go alongside optimize press (and video 2 of the graphics pack also gave me an excellent idea on how to present my PDF’s better – thanks).

I haven’t emailed you because I know you respond quicker to comments rather than emails.

I hope you are doing great.

And yes, it is a highly complimentary package to go alongside OP2.0 – you can see from the links in the post what I have done on those pages using both OP 2.0 and the graphics.

I have taken the liberty of sending the graphics pack to the email address you entered on your above comment.

Hey Richard,

Thank you SO much for putting this together. I’ve watched a few of your videos here so thank you for being so thorough. I’ll have to come back and finish the rest probably this weekend but I’m seeing more of what it can do so I appreciate you going into so much detail. I guess after I finish watching the rest of these I have to decide what I’m going to do.

I think the only thing I’m not really that keen on is having to keep purchasing it every time they update the software. That kind of bothers me really. That’s like spending a bundle on a paid theme and not receiving any updates. Huh, will have to think about that now.

Anyway, I appreciate it and thank you again.

OptimizePress 2.0 is a one off payment. Pay for it, use it as a plugin or theme for years to come (there is no recurring fee either unless you decide to become a Clubhouse member which gives you additional templates every month).

All updates are also free (as you would expect with a theme or plugin you have already paid for).

    Thanks Adrienne!
